After a wonderful few weeks away, we’re back on our shit this month with a tasty trio of instrumental beat tapes absolutely worth taking a moment to check out.
Without further ado, here’s what we dropped in January, 2024.
Slightly Faded – Sun Seekers
What better way to kick off 2024 than with a release from one of our favourite artists to work with?
Slightly Faded is back with a slightly more laid-back vibe with Sun Seekers, a four-track EP that brings a softer side to the duo’s production while also keeping their synth-based edge.
Lofi Alumni – Lost! But Not Forgotten
A new addition to the Kiwi Bear Records catalog this month is Lofi Alumni, an old-head in the hip-hop scene and one that has been making an impression over on their socials.
It’s a dusty four-track beat tape with a modern instrumental twist, you should definitely give it a spin.
Dpsht – Night Ride
Another familiar face this month is Dpsht with their six-track EP, Night Ride, a stunning blend of old and new with an audible story of taking a trip through the night.
A perfect soundtrack to any late night drive, though I probably wouldn’t recommend closing your eyes and soaking in the sounds…

So that’s January 2024! It’s been a pretty long month, with an even longer February to contend with. Fortunately, February is looking pretty stacked, too.
