This is such a delightful treat from Dpsht and producer tenkousei. who tastefully blends together the elements of classic lofi sounds from SwuM and Jinsang with more modern sensibilities.
Expect a soothing and somewhat romantic experience from start to finish, much like pouring you and a loved one the most perfect cup of coffee in the morning.
And the award for the longest EP title in history goes to… lazyboyloops!
This EP is an intricate collection of beats featuring sample chops from funk, soul, and disco, all woven together amongst a handful of skits, channelling old-school De La vibes. And yes, all of the song titles are long and dumb, as lazyboyloops channels his inner emo.
Stepping out of his usual chill beats comfort zone is artist and label owner Pueblo Vista who shared with us Reflections of a Velvet Midnight, an EP that features upbeat nostalgic vibes than what listeners may be used to.
This release is also incredibly special as it’s dedicated to the artist’s late wife who preferred the more upbeat side of lofi, and is such a sweet dedication.
Wrapping up the month is artist Bitcrvsh with the double single Always Near. Expect neo-soul-driven chords blended with ethereal vocal samples that swell in amongst warm bass tones and catchy, upbeat drums.
Overall, Always Near is a delicate balance of peppy and uptempo while also maintaining a chill laid-back vibe.
And that was August! An eclectic mix of beats from the whole instrumental beat spectrum and another collection we’re proud to have in our catalog.
In case you missed it, here’s what we launched earlier this year.
