kümmel – backpacks

Kicking off the month of March is a delightful three-track lo-fi beats EP from artist kümmel. Featuring a blend of more mellow and laid-back instrumentals with slightly upbeat vibes, backpacks is a real treat for the ears.

If you’re looking for something that’s gentle but not sleepy, then we’d definitely recommend this EP.

Georgie Evora – Losing in the Waves

We’re pleased to be host to the debut release of artist Georgie Evora, a skilful rapper, producer, and lyricist, with their track Losing in the Waves.

This emotional conscious hip-hop track features hard-hitting bars and lyrical flows with stripped-back instrumentals, cool drum grooves and sweeping violin melodies, as well as soulful softspoken lyrics with clever wordplay.

Civin – wave

If you’re looking for an album which sums up the current sound of instrumental hip-hop beats and lo-fi, then wave is definitely the album for you.

Featuring tasteful sample chops, SP-404 FX-driven drum grooves, and beats galore, this album is one of many fantastic releases under Civin’s belt and one we’re happy to help bring to the world.

Emtee Beats – Bossa Beats

This double single is full of South American flair. As you’d expect with the title Bossa Beats, Emtee Beats is bringing his Brazilian heritage to the forefront with a double hit of beats, perfect for the warmer summer evenings.

From start to finish, Emtee Beats’ cultural influences are present throughout and we absolutely love the feeling of being transported to somewhere slightly less gloomy.

Shasta Esprit Gilmore – l’esprit de l’escalier

Wrapping up March is the incredible DIY bedroom pop & dream pop album from singer/songwriter Shasta Esprit Gilmore. l’esprit de l’escalier oozes with 90s influences from the jangly guitar, Shasta’s raw lyrical prowess, and its overall grungy nostalgic vibe. There’s also some synth in there for good measure, too.

l’esprit de l’escalier is also our debut cassette release being available to purchase exclusively via Shasta’s BandCamp page.

So there you have it, March continues our fantastic run of releases from across the lo-fi, electronic, and bedroom/lo-fi pop space, and we’re only just getting started.
